• Hi at all,
maybe someone has the same problem:
I’ve installed contact form7 along with recaptcha and flamingo plugins. The spam-filters worl pretty good. But sometimes there are false positives. As reason I recognized that the recaptcha response (which ist cryptic) ist scanned by the the spamfilters.
Is there a way to prevent scans for the recaptcha response field ?
    Greetings and thanks
    Dieter

Why do you think they are false positives? Are there any reasons to think they are by real humans and not by bots?

The message (filled-out form) was written by one of our members – and I know she is real ??
I realized that because of the spam reason found in flamingo. It said “asdf”
So I was looking in the received message for this charsequence and found it only in the the g-recaptcha-response field. Flamingo was very helpful in this case.

Sorry, but this topic is not resolved.
I installed latest versions of all plugins, but there is the same fault.
Could you please tell me, how I can prevent from cheking the recatpcha response?
    Thanks in advance

Where on the site do you have the form having the issue?

    Thanks for the fast answer.
The problem is with all forms.
As I said above, the response of the recaptcha field is scanned. This is in every form where the recaptcha is used and I use it in all forms.
I made an extra page for testing.

Look at the pictures as you scroll down. That should make the problem clear.

What do you have in the disallowed list?

    Thread Starter Dieter_H

    (@dieter_h)

of course this char sequence is in the list.
But the disallowed list comes from wordpress defaults:

Do you want to use the blacklist of Grant Hutchinson which is maintained on Github (check if you want to use it)? Please keep in mind that if there is no other blacklist source defined, this will be used as default, even if it’s not selected.

    Once again:
the problem is, that the answer from recaptcha is scanned , which shouldn’t be done.

    Hello @takayukister,
sorry if i get on your nerves.
But I still get a lot of completed forms marked as spam. And they are not spam.
Could you please tell me how to teach the program not to scan the recaptcha response field.
    Thanks a lot
    Dieter
