Problem Importing WordPress.Com XML File into WordPress on my Host Site

    I tried importing my xml file for my blog via Tools -> Imports to the new wordpress installation on my new host site and the file is 2.9MB. So, I couldn’t upload it. I spoke with my hosting site and they suggested that I add it to the WordPress database via FTP, but I am not sure which folder to put it in.

    I would appreciate any help. I am quite frustrated.

    Since I didn’t get any replies, I split the file in two.

    PBP_Editor

    (@pbp_editor)

    You can also change the max allowed upload size in the php.ini file on your root

    ; Maximum allowed size for uploaded files.
    upload_max_filesize = 2M

    Change to whatever size makes sense

    Example
    upload_max_filesize = 5M
