• I’ve built a site with Crocoblocks pagination widget in Elementor Pro and Astra.

When going to the WooCommerce product archive and clicking through to a paginated page, the layout of the site breaks. I have some strings there translated with Loco Translate.

    The response from Crocoblock below:
“The developer investigated your case and advised that Loco-Translate plugin doesn’t have the option of remembering the conditions of ajax areas. Our plugins and widgets can affect this work. We can recommend trying Polylang or WPML plugin.”

Is this the case with your plugin? Is it possible to have your plugin remembering the conditions of the AJAX areas?

Is it possible to have your plugin remembering the conditions of the AJAX areas?

I don’t understand what this means. Are you talking about localized JSON files using the new wp_set_script_translations system? Please clarify.

    Hello,

This is a setting in WPML so it works with AJAX on the front end.

So Loco needs to set a similar cookie to work properly with AJAX.
    Does it make sense?

    No, it doesn’t make sense.

Loco Translate is a PO/MO file editor. It doesn’t even need to be installed for WordPress to read MO files, and there’s no reason why WordPress would need a special cookie to read MO files during Ajax operations.

Whatever you’re claiming Loco Translate needs to do, I’m guessing it’s based on a misunderstanding of what it’s for and how it works.

This is the information I’ve got from the plugin developer:

“Currently, Loco Translate plugin isn’t intended for working with AJAX loading because the request is sent to a server, and AJAX can’t “remember” what translation there was.”

As the person who made Loco Translate I can tell you this statement is nonsense.
