Problem getting Soliloquy slider to show up

  • I’ve installed the free version of the Soliloquy slider plugin and am wanting to put it on one of my WordPress sites sub pages. I’ve started making the slider and added the Shortcode on the page but was wanting to know where I’m supposed to put the Function code?

    At this point, nothing shows up on the page I added the slider Shortcode too, so I’m assuming it’s because I’ve not done anything with the Function code.

    Another thing I’m noticing is thumbnails of the images I’m uploading are not showing up under the upload button as it says they should. I’m uploading the images by hosting them on my server and putting in the URL of each image.
