Problem embedding PDF – no plugin

    This is a basic WordPress 5.5.3 site using the Twenty Ten theme. It has no plug-ins added.

    I hit Ctrl-V in the block editor with a URL pointing to a PDF file, and it inserted a PDF viewer.

    When I view the page, the PDF viewer appears, but it is very small, and the Full Screen icon does nothing. I can’t find any relevant settings.

    Everything I read says that I need a plug-in, or that the WordPress block editor only adds a link to the file, not a viewer. That is, what I got doesn’t exist.

    So, can I make this built-in PDF viewer work, or should I just get a plug-in?
