Problem Editing WP Pages

  • I’m trying to edit an existing WordPress Page.
    I’ve made my .htaccess writeable.
    I go into the HTML editor, make my alteration (just one character) and click update. The page updates. But when I click ‘save’ or ‘save and continue editing’, nothing happens. WordPress will not save the changes. If I try to view any other pages WP says:

    “Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page. If you navigate away from this page, your changes will be lost.”

    Am I missing something? How do I update my page?
