• Hi All

I’m trying to conirm my site on Pinterest.

    I have:
    – Copy’d the correct file to my public_HTML.
    – Added the correct line of code to my website <head>.
    – Cleared my cache using WP Super cache
    – Tried confirming with and without www

However, when I click the “finish” button on the pinterest confirmation popup, I get this message: oops Looks like we had trouble connecting to your website. Please try again later. followed by another box saying Sorry! Something went wrong on our end.

It’s driving me mad and robbing me of sleep!

Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to resolve it? Or does anyone have something I could try to make it work?

  • Hi there!

Have you confirmed that you can load the HTML file, or that you can see the <meta> tag in your site <head>? You should try in a different browser (or in an Incognito Window), as caching plugins can behave differently for logged in users vs. anonymous users.

I’d also recommend contacting Pinterest support, (the link can be found at the bottom of this help article), as they’ll be able to confirm what their systems are seeing when they try to talk to your site.
