Problem: Can’t turn comments on, Advanced Options are Displayed twice

It looks like you have a few plugins on that add information to the posts page. Have you tried turning them off to see if that clears it up.

Turned off each plugin and narrowed it down to WP-Affiliate 0.2.5.

For some reason I can’t get WP-Polls 2.21 to work right. Everything installs and activates, but I can’t add a new poll.

Hey Jason, I also have similar issues with 2.5. Here’s my problem:

Notice the category box was empty but the category list was shown when clicking on “add new category”. Also, the Advanced Options which should be below Category was missing. Any posts I publish are Comments Off.

It didnt appear to be plugin problems because:

1) I tried deactivating all plugins
2) I reverted back to the original php files that I made modifications too
3) It just happened without notice
4) I checked the MySQL database for errors

I wonder if lag was the problem. It was heavily lagged when I was writing posts and many times accessing the site timed out.

The last thing I want to do is to reinstall it and that’s out of the question

Problem solved!

The problem was because there were too many categories for both WordPress.com and www.remarpro.com versions can handle. My site was setup for almost 1400 categories and that caused the site to become so slow that much of the features (ie. comments, advanced options) timed out and appeared dysfunctional
