Problem after update to WP 3.9

    Problem between Custom Post Types (Types Version 1.5.5) and Download Attachments (DA Version 1.0.8)) plugin’s. Both worked fine in 3.8.2

    Don’t know which plugin has problem. Deactivated all other plugins, same problem:

    DA plugin works fine on posts and pages.

    DA’s settings recognizes Types CPT’s and loads the metabox correctly on the CPT but won’t add an attachment.

    Add New Attachment on CPT always get’s;
    Unexpected error occured. Please refresh the page and try again.

    we (I’m a member of wp-types.com team) didn’t have any incompatibility issues with Types 1.5.5 and WP 3.9 so far but maybe you are right. I have to replicate your problem first before I will classify it as a bug. Could you please list me (like a bullet-point list) the details steps you are doing?

    Download Attachments (DA Version 1.0.8))

    I also have support issue submitted to Download Attachments (DA). Response from DA “It looks ok on our installs. But more compatibility tests are on the way.”

    Types:
    Added CPT “Example”
    Display Sections
    Title
    Editor
    Author

    Advanced
    Rewrite
    Pages
    show_in_menu
    show_ui
    publicly_queryable
    exclude_from_search
    hierarchical
    can_export
    query_var

    Default value EP_PERMALINK

    Post Relationship
    Parent: None
    Children: None

    Download Attachments:
    General settings:
    Supported Post Types
    “Select which post types would you like to enable for your downloads.”
    “Example” was available for selection and was selected.

    CPT Menu:
    Added New post type under Example / Example1
    Add new Attachments Metabox is available and selected takes to Media Library/Upload Files.
    File is selected (tried both image or audio) and shows Attachment Details .
    Click on Add selected Attachments.
    Error:
    No attachments added yet.
    Unexpected error occurred. Please refresh the page and try again.

    Any word?

    I believe the problem may be with Types.

    The Edit Custom Post Type is not saving correctly”
    page-attributes, Pages and hierarchical are all set to true. But Parent metabox does not display.

    Debug This says:
    [capability_type] => post

    I finally traced the attachment problem down to neither of the plugins having a problem.

    The problem was in the Custom Post Types settings:
    Display Sections
    Thumbnail     must be activated.

    It must be in the new way attachments are called in WP 3.9. Although I was only using audio attachments, after activating Thumbnails for the CPT all was well.

    As for page-attributes, Pages and hierarchical, the metabox only displays when there are multiple pages available for child selections and then the metabox does display correctly.

    Yes Resolved.
    To use Download Attachments (DA Version 1.0.8)) with Types (Types Version 1.5.5):

    In Types Display Section: Thumbnail must be activated.
