    Try resaving your permalinks. You may also want to take a look at the Duplicator plugin. It can be very useful even in a situation like yours where you are just changing the URL.

    My concern is that at the moment I am only able to access the dashboard through the preview link, but can’t make any changes on the site through that, which is why I had to edit my hosts file so that pointing to the actual domain name would take me to the new site instead of the old one. It never used to be this complicated, but since my web host migrated to a new Linux server I can no longer use the preview link to make changes on the site. I’m afraid that when the DNS change propagates, I won’t be able to access the Dashboard through the actual domain url.

    My hosting service provider says I need to get the DNS settings from word press and send it through to them.
    How do I get this?
