Problem adding pictures

First I want to complain about the current media gallery. The pictures are too tiny you can’t see what they are. And when you’re done there’s no one-click option for returning to the edit post page. You have to just go back to your main page of your website and work your way back in through the dashboard.

Now on to my problem:

Normally to add an image to the post, you would put your cursor in the post where you want to put your picture and then click “Add Media.” However that button doesn’t seem to be working. Nothing will happen now when I click it. Also, when browsing the images to add the Featured Image I noticed an “Add to Post” option which I tried clicking as an alternative but that just gave me a blank page.

How can I fix this? I am using 4.2.
