Originally when the new update appeared background images I use on two elementor sites disappeared on a mobile – there are different images on a computer and tablet and they were okay. I found the problem disappeared when I stopped css minify and css combine. I contacted support and they got me to discover which css file’s caching was causing the problem. I found it, and it had “post” in the url, so I put post- in the exclude section of the tuning for page optimisation. And the problem was fixed. This happened on a second site, so I did the same. But now on the second site, the text that goes over that background image, which is animated, fails to appear and so do three animated images below it, not straight away, after a day or so. I purge the cache, and the text is back. I check every now and then, and then eventually find the animated text and images have disappeared, so I go into the hosting service which also uses litespeed and flush the cache, this worked for a day or so. Then the problem came back. But I also have a backup of the website, a duplicate, on the same hosting service but on a different a/c to the clients website, it had the same initial problem, but after i flushed the cache on the hosting service, the problem has not reappeared. I wish it was the other way around, that the problem only appeared on the back up and not on the clients actual site. So I have rolled back litespeed 2 versions to see what happens. The backup site does not have a cdn on it – the actual site does.

    Hi,

please provide the report number , you can get it in toolbox -> report -> click “send to LiteSpeed”

if you have different display on mobile and desktop , please also try enable mobile cache and purge all

    Best regards,

The report number is MCIPMAUQ. What I have done is I updated to the latest version of litespeed again and in the tuning section I have excluded the animation css, I will see if that works because it is obviously a caching problem. I only have a different version – smaller image on the mobile phone from the main website and that is no longer a problem with the post- exclusion. I am wary of using mobile cache as it has warnings that the htaccess file is changed.

Well, that didn’t work. After about four hours I had a look a the animated text and images had once again disappeared. So I removed the animated css from being excluded, and I had a look at the backup site once more which was still going strong with no problems, and found I had turned the mobile cache on, so I have done this, and now to wait more hours to see if it actually works. I am very emotionally drained at the moment. Just about to send the money back to the client and say sorry but I am just incompetent. So stressed, as this is the third time I have had problems with litespeed. In the first case I eventually changed caching plugins. So stressed.

    Hi,

the first and for most important thing is not to panic or be stressed , when you panic or stressed , you are loosing the ability to calmly troubleshoot the issue and make it even worse as if you can not think things clear and straight

now , please tell me , which part is your animated text in mobile view ?

how is it supposed to look like and how it is not ?

and as a quick check , if you use default setting at all (you can reset settings to deflt in toolbox -> export/import -> reset ), how does that do ?

    Hi,

As mentioned above I turned the mobile cache on. I also flushed the cloudflare cache. So far the problem has not returned. This is how it should look on a mobile. https://ibb.co/0f1r0qn – text over the hero image saying Brisbourne Racing and the logo, that fade in up, as well as those horse images at the bottom of the picture that move across the screen from the left. This is happening at the moment. I made the changes about 18 hours ago.

is it happening right now ? because on my browser it shows same as your screenshot

also please try , when it works fine , as right now , open your browser, open dev tool to mimic mobile view, access the page , note down the CSS file name and sizes by screenshot

and then when it breaks , repeat above process to note down the CSS file name and sizes

after that please check if there is anything different in CSS file name and size

It’s okay right now. I took a screen shot of the css.
