    Hello,

I got a message on my website dashboard saying I need to update to the last PHP version (7.4 I guess).
I followed the link provided under this message and read this post to learn what to do: ‘Get a faster, more secure website: update your PHP today
I made a backup of my website and then installed the PHP Compatibility Checker plugin as told in the post to check my themes and plugins for possible issues. But the plugin hasn’t been updated for 1 year and so only checks compatibility for the 7.0 PHP version.
So should I really update to the last PHP version?
In addition, my web hosting only offers 7.3 PHP version…

    Thank you for your help,
    Best regards.
    Lily

  • I just installed the PHP Compatibility Checker 1.5.0 and it shows a choice of PHP versions to check:

The default is the lowest version, but you can choose the version that your host provides.
