• After spending over two hours looking into the documentation(including googles API faq’s) I decided to uninstall this plugin and try something else. Extremely difficult to figure out and setup. The fields under settings don’t makes sense.

It is most likely a fairly decent plugin, unfortunately the configuration is 10x difficulty(I have over five years experience working with both wordpress and Google API’s so this isn’t an experience issue)

After completing ALL steps spelled out by developer this plugin still failed to import my reviews.

I eventually found a reviews plugin that only required place ID and took less than ten minutes to find, install and setup. Honestly not sure why this had to be so difficult.

Google has been changing the way you have to create an API key. The plugin you found probably uses the same API key for every user, therefore only requiring the Place ID. I decided not to go this route since Google will now charge you based on how many calls your API key makes. If you want me to get the plugin going for you feel free to contact me on my website or post in the forum.

    thanks,

Hi @javageek1212, would you mind sharing what plugin did you find that only need the place ID? I am strugglying with similar issues. OR anyone know how I could create the API at Google, but free of charges, even if restricted to a number of queries per month?

Google gives you $200 a month credit and you can limit the number of calls for your key so you will be sure not to go over. So, essentially it is free to create and use a key.
