    I ahve moved my wordpress from the test directory to live directory but the website links are still pointing to old links. I have changes the directory name in the sql databse file. Tried to change permalink but when I change the structure all the pages are going 404.

    Please help

    Did you read the Codex?

    Unless you know what you are doing, changing the directory names in the database is not as simple as it seems. In particular, you need to use the Search and Replace script discussed in the Codex to be sure you’ve fixed it properly.

    I read the codex. Installed the search and replace plugin as well and that didnt help. ??

    I still could figure this out. anybody has a suggestion ?

    You will need to change all the oldsite.com hrefs (in images, for example) to the newsite.com reference.

    I find the Search Regex plugin good for this.
