Great theme, and thank you for the offer of the Pro version for free during development. I have a question about the use of the Pro version: I tried to install it normally, by uploading through the wordpress interface, but of course it failed because the directory already existed. I therefore renamed the free version, and then installed. When I have done this, and updates are available, which happened immediately, do I then lose the Pro functionality, because that seemed to be what happened.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, Thanks for trying our theme and sorry for the inconvenience.
    Your observation is correct.
We need to disable auto update to the free version from pro.
Will make those changes by EOD.

Please share your feedback and let me know if there is anything we can help you with.

    Hi Satish
Thanks for quick response. I was not sure what the effect would be, so I downloaded the file from the link you supplied with the fix, then unzipped, renamed the folder to include the word “pro”, re-zipped and uploaded. I have activated, and thank you. In this way, I presumably can keep using this pro version.

Will there be any updates for this pro version to continue development, please?

    Hi Mark,
Renaming is not a good idea for the following reasons.
    1. Your theme settings/customizations are tied to the theme folder name. You might have issues using child themes we will release in future.
    2. Auto updates of the pro version (Not available at this time) might not work.
    3. Import/export theme customizations we plan to provide might not work as expected.

With the fix we included, you will not be downgraded to the free version. So, don’t rename the folder.

    Thanks

Hey Satish – thanks for clearing that up about the procedure! I will revert to proper pro zip and take it from there.

    Mark
