Hi

I upgraded from Search Manager Lite to PRO version but it doesn’t seem to search woocommerce product tags on my site. https://boardgamesandmore.com.au/

I have tried searching for product tags that are common to multiple products but it only displays results that appear in the product description or title.

I have selected the option to search product tags in settings.

How can I get it to search by product tag successfully?

Could using a child theme cause this problem?

Hello,

I’ve checked your site and see that search by tags works fine here – https://boardgamesandmore.com.au/?s=Tableau%20Building&post_type=product

I see that search by tags not works for autocomplete. For now there are no such functionality in this plugin, but we are planning to add this feature in future releases.

When I use the url https://boardgamesandmore.com.au/?s=Tableau%20Building&post_type=product it works and returns results found in the product tags. But I tried the same search by manually typing in the search bar but that displays no results.

When I search for “tableau building” the url shows the following:
https://boardgamesandmore.com.au/?s=tableau+building
No results

Your supplied URL includes “&post_type=product”
https://boardgamesandmore.com.au/?s=Tableau%20Building&post_type=product

How do I get “&post_type=product” to go on the end of the URL?

The shortcode [wcstm_search_form] functions the same as the regular search. (does not add &post_type=product to the end of the URL)

Yes, it’s because there autocomplete running, for now it can’t search by tags. This feature will be added in future releases.

Yes, you have used default wordpress search. And for product search you need to use woocommerce search – https://prntscr.com/dardja

Regarding shortcode – it adds default wordpress search form. we’ll add ability to add woocommerce search form in the next release.

OK I see how it works now.

I have turned autocomplete off and I am now using the woocommerce search widget and getting good search results.
