Pro version does not import WooCommerce Attributes as claimed!
-
I made the mistake of purchasing the Pro version of this plugin. I made it clear prior to purchase that we would not purchase the pro version without a refund policy that allows refunds, they changed their policy to get the sale, and then immediately removed it again afterwards.
The Pro version of the plug-in does not fully support importing custom WooCommerce attributes, although they will claim that it does. Rather than importing custom attributes that are already listed on the Products->Attributes screen as a wordpress taxonomy, all attributes are imported as basic meta-data attributes regardless.
They will show up on the product page, which might be enough for somebody who’s never used WooCommerce before, but they have none of the additional functionality that is associated with fully defined attributes.
According to support, the reason why the attributes that I add to a WooCommerce product manually, work with the Attribute Filters widgets, or show up on the product page with links to an archive page of products with the same attribute, is because I have a customized installation of WooCommerce.
They clearly have no understanding of the database structure of WooCommerce attributes, and therefore it is likely that there are other parts of the package that also have been worked around, instead of fully developed as you’d expect.
They also refuse to issue refunds.
