We have purchased the Pro version of this plugin to allow us to ship physical giftcards to customers via regular mail, because we assumed this is what the ‘offline’ giftcard option means.
But as it turns out this doesn’t quite work as expected:

1/ When I select the option ‘Want To Ship Your Card’ I still have to submit text in the ‘Gift message’ field and enter a recipient name. If I leave those fields empty I cannot place the order. This doesn’t make sense. These field should at least be optional or removable in the Settings.

2/ When ordering a physical giftcard I still receive the ‘You have received a gift card’ email with full layout and coupon code, just as if I had selected the ‘Mail To Recipient’ option. This also doesn’t make sense to me.

3/ The ‘You Print & Give To Recipient’ does not work at all. When I click on the download button I get: ‘Unfortunately the requested page does not exist.’
But -again- I do receive the ‘You have received a gift card’ email, which would be unnessecary.

4/ I have selected the option ‘Enable PDF option for Gift Card Mails ( Please import pdf supported templates.)’ and followed the steps to activate the template. But there is no way to view or customize these templates. This makes this option unusable.

I hope you can explain if and why all the above is expected behavior, or if I am missing some settings? The documentation is very limited and at points unclear.

If this can’t be resolved I will have to apply for a refund, as this setup does not cover our expectations.

    Kind regards,
    Leo

  • Hello,

Thanks for using our plugin, Here is the answer to your queries,

    1. We have given the option in the other settings tab from where you can remove the validation of those fields and you can also use the CSS code to hide those fields. This setting will get applicable on all the delivery methods.

    2. For physical gift cards, the admin receives mail so that the admin can print the selected template of the gift card and ship it to the recipient.

    3. For the 404 issues, Please remove the plugin from your site and then re-install and activate the fresh plugin. It may resolve the issue.

    4. Please go to the WP Menu >> Gift Cards >> Import templates section. From there you can import the pdf templates and use them.

    Thanks & Regards,

Thank you for your fast response. I have some issues still:

1/ When I remove validation for ‘To name’ in fact the ‘recipient email’ validation appears to be removed, not ‘recipient name’.
As you say, this is removed for all delivery methods, but validation is still necessary when using the ‘mail to recipient’ delivery option.

2/ The admin receives the same email for all delivery methods. This makes it impossible to tell if an online or offline gift card was ordered.

3/ I removed and reinstalled the plugin, but it still does not work.

4/ That’s exactly what I did, and again after reinstalling. Still not working, and still no way of viewing or customizing pdf template.

So unfortunately all that makes this plugin unfit for our purposes, and quite frankly not worth the money. I will see if we can get a refund.

Thanks again and keep up the good work, your plugin has good potential but appears to need some polishing.

    Hello,

Here is the answer to your queries –

    1. For removing each field validation, We have provided a particular setting. Please make sure you have configured the settings properly. It should work.

    2. Admin receives Gift card template for the “Shipping” delivery method only. When the online order is placed by the customer. If you want to print the order-id on the gift card template then you can use this shortcode [ORDERID].

    3. If you have to reinstall the fresh plugin then make sure you have enabled the “PDF” feature under the “Other Setting” tab. It should work.

    4. You can preview the templates only. PDF will get generated, when the customer purchases the gift card then PDF will be sent on the recipient email.

I Hope, It may resolve your query.

    Thanks & Regards,

1/ It does work, but the same settings apply to all delivery options. This is not how it should work, each option requires different validations.

2/ This is incorrect. Admin receives the exact same mail. Probably there is no gift card template attached because the pdf is not working, as I mentioned under 3/.

3/ I have enabled the pdf feature and imported the template. It doesn’t work.

4/ There is no pdf attached to the recipient email.

Thank you for your time, I have requested a refund.

    Hello

Here is the answer to your queries-

    1. Yes validation setting should work the same for each delivery method.
    2. Admin should receive gift card templates for the Shipping delivery method only.
    3. For the PDF feature you can contact us over the premium support. This feature is available in the pro version.

    Thanks & Regards,
