Private WordPress Blog

Hi Guys,

I currently have a private WordPress blog and can see that people need to log in to view the content.

As I do want this to remain private information, aside from whom I choose to share it with I would like to know:

I know there are programs out there that download a whole webpage, which you can then edit. If my blog were to be downloaded, could it then be opened with a text editor and read or is it encrypted?

I’ve read that there are a couple of plugins that do encrypt it, but does the kind of protection come with the standard free WordPress blog ‘name.wordpress.com’.

Basically I just want to be assured that without an extraordinary amount of effort, the content will remain private.
