• I’m currently using a plugin called Force Login for development or private websites. Is it possible I can use Hide My WP Ghost for this? I have the Pro version… Maybe blacklist all IPs? Or I’m overlooking something.

    Hi @macmeister ,

From what I can see on their WordPress plugin page, they are only redirecting the login path, which is just one option from our extensive list of features.

So you can more than sure hide the login path to another one and also set redirects for when a user logs in & out.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

I may not have been clear. I don’t wish to hide the login page. I wish to hide EVERY page of the entire website including the home page, with the WP login. As powerful as Hide My WP Ghost is, I figured it would be fairly easy to do this. If this is available now or in the future, please consider adding a checkbox or how to.

Our plugin hides the custom WP paths to prevent future attacks from hackers and bots. Keep in mind that the paths are changed, not the pages themselves.

With this in mind, can you please elaborate on what you mean by “hide every page of the entire website”?

No problem. I’m just using other methods to require a login to access any page on the public facing website. Maybe this feature will be added some day, or there is a way for me to blacklist all IPs, requiring a login… I think this use case of development sites or members only, fits in-line with Hide My’s purpose.

So you are looking to restrict access to your website by request a login access.

That is a wonderful idea, and I can definitely see how it can be useful! I’ll pass it along as a feature request to our product team, so they can review it for future updates.

Until then, make sure to also record it on our Roadmap https://squirrly.feedbear.com/roadmap, so other users can also vote for it.
