Private groups disable BBPress in Dashboard

    Hi Robin,

    Great work! BBP Private Groups seems to exactly what I (we) need, but when I activate the plugin, the BBPress (forum, replies, topics) is missing from the dashboard menu. Also the Forum settings is missing under settings. When I deactivate Private groups all the BBPress menu points are back in place. And if I activate your plugin its gone again. And I do of course need and want to access both =)

    I am using BBpress 2.5.8 and BBP Private Groups 3.08

    Do you know what could be the reason for this?

    ok, something is clashing, and it may be another plugin or theme issue

    Plugins

    Deactivate all but bbpress and private groups and see if this fixes. if it does, re-enable one at a time to see which is causing the error.

    Themes

    If plugins don’t pinpoint the problem, as a test switch to a default theme such as twentytwelve, and see if this fixes.

    Then come back

    Thanks for great support!

    I turned off one by one and came down to the very last “WP Native Dashboard 1.3.12”, which solved the problem. I have been developing in Instant WordPress locally and by default that plugin is installed. Now that I have moved to live that plugin followed along. I am not sure what it really do (possible benefits) as its 1. Very old 2. The features it contain perhaps are already included in later releases of WP.

    In any case it seems to have solved my problem and I will continue to configure Private groups =)

    Great – thanks for the update

    The WP Native Dashboard plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years, so as you do not need it, I won’t spend time working out why it conflicts.
