Is it possible to set a private cache based on user role? I want to cache pages for logged-in users, but I don’t want each individual user to have their own cache. I want the cache to be based on user role in order to keep resource usage down.

for that you will need the ESI , but please note that ESI may not be compatible with all plugins or themes , so better to test it out.

I’m trialing the enterprise version of Litespeed right now. What are the proper settings in the plugin to achieve this?

please go to LiteSpeed Cache -> Cache -> ESI -> enable ESI, and if you have multiple roles , set up a different number for role vary in ESI setting
