Privacy policy and the terms and conditions fields used to be under Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Checkout, but not anymore. Where have they moved? Thanks

    Hey @alanwp81,

The dropdown fields that allow you to assign the corresponding pages to the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions pages should still be shown in the Customizer location you mentioned, as seen here:

    https://d.pr/i/SavMnd

However, I’d recommend going to the WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced page and clearing the page assigned in the Terms and conditions option there (by clicking the “x” on right side of the dropdown menu), saving the settings briefly (with no page assigned), and then re-checking in the Customizer to see if that allows those options to show (and have those pages set again).

If that doesn’t help, let me know. Thanks!

Hey Shaun – i just need to change the ‘i have read and agree to the website terms and…’ text, as show here https://www.snipboard.io/8xqXWZ.jpg. It’s no longer located in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Checkout, as shown here https://www.snipboard.io/fyZkRD.jpg. Thanks

    Hey @alanwp81

This may be overriden by your theme. Can you try switching to a default theme (such as Storefront) and see if that makes that option appear again?

    Hi @alanwp81,

The Terms and Conditions text is still located at Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Checkout.

However, there are instances where it might not show up if you’re using an older version of WooCommerce (it was fixed in 5.1.0, see changelog -#28735).

Nonetheless, to ‘force’ it to show:

    • Go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Checkout
    • On the Terms and Conditions page drop down, select “No Page Set”
    • Click the dropdown again and set it back to the correct Terms and Conditions page
The text shown during checkout should be shown and you will be able to edit it.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey @alanwp81,

Since we haven’t heard back in a while, I’m going to close this thread. However, if the above suggestions don’t resolve the issue, feel free to start a new thread and link to this one (so we know what has already been suggested/tried). Thanks!
