    Hello,

    Loco translate seems to not be able to translate the text of the Privacy Policy message that is at the checkout of WooCommerce, even though this string is present and translated in the plugin.
    I have found a solving of the issue for a different translation plugin (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/woocommerce-privacy-policy-checkout-text-cant-be-translated/)
    Seems that the issue is that this message is located here:
    appearance->customize->woocommerce->checkout->privacy policy

    Can you please give me a recommendation on how to solve that? Thanks

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    The page you link to shows that this text is stored as custom string in the WooCommerce plugin settings.

    Loco Translate does not modify strings pulled from plugin settings.

    It may let you alter the default text in the form field before you save it, but once the option is saved, that is what WooCommerce will use.

    Thank you for the answer.
    So does this mean that there is no way to translate this string? What could be the possible solution in this case?

    You cannot translate saved options using my plugin. So I can’t give you a solution in that respect for your current problem.

    You could try deleting the saved option and avoiding saving them in future, but I can’t help you with that. Personally I think allowing custom strings to be saved in the database is bad practice, but it’s not my plugin.

    You sent me a link to another plugin where it works. So I suggest you use that.

    Thanks a lot for your answer. I didn’t mean anything bad about your plugin when I mentioned a competitor. I’m still using yours and will try to solve this in another way.

    Oh, there is smth more that I dont understand.
    Here:
    appearance->customize->woocommerce->checkout

    I can modify as well the terms and conditions “I have read and agree to the website [terms]” This text is translated on my page, but the privacy policy no. Why is that? They are both from the plugin settings. So there must be some other issue.

    Thanks

    Hi.
    I have a problem with Loco Translatee.
    On my checkout page, the last items on the form come out in English, and I need them in Spanish. But, inside the LocoT plugin they come out as they were translated. When I want to change the translation of a word, it only loads without any answer.
    Please helpme with that.

    @marina1987 Possibly one is still the original source text and one isn’t. Either way, my answer remains the same.
