Privacy Policy already Exists

    Hi,

    Could somebody help me install a Privacy. Previously I have used both Easy Privacy Policy and Google policy with no problems.

    But my last Blog will not install them, it says a policy already exists: Viz:

    A Privacy Policy Page already exists, you should delete it or remove its plugin before using Easy Privacy Policy!

    I cannot find such a policy which it refers. Does anyone know what to look for and how to get rid of this ficticious policy. I have looked in pages, posts and editor.

    I would be much oblidged if someone could help.

    Hi,

    Sorry, I have just resolved this problem myself after many hours.

    There was a prevoius policy, it was deleted but it was held in the trash.

    Once I permanently removed it from the trash, the other plugins were easily installed.

    I was not an obvious solution to me, but it is now.

    As you say, it is not an obvious solution. Thank you for posting your solution. It would not have occurred to me that the plugin was looking at a page that was in the trash.
