This plugin used to be great, but in a recent update, it seems like the developers changed the plugin so that the only way to use it is by linking your Google account with Tatvic and giving them access to your data.

It used to be that you could just enter a Google Analytics ID and that would be that, but now you must sign in and grant access of your account to Tatvic. Not something many people will be comfortable with.

I hope the developers can change this feature back and remove the access required by Tatvic

    Hey @probertson,

    We understand your concern here.

However, I would like to acknowledge that we are not storing any GA data of our plugin users and strictly abide by the data privacy rules.

We are asking for access to get the google Oauth2 (that expires in 30 mins) and use it to make a few google API calls so that we can offer google ads linking feature that we have introduced.

Apart from this, we have planned a few features around google ads, GA4 and around other google products that the users are demanding for a long in our upcoming releases for that it would be impossible to provide those features without google Oauth2.

I hope, being a tech guy, you would understand why do we need access to make the Google API calls.

    Hope this explains your concerns.

    Regards
    Tatvic Analytics Team
