    Hello,

I work for a University in British Columbia, Canada. We are looking to install this plugin on our instance of WordPress but we are subject to the strict privacy legislation, FIPPA. If you wouldn’t mind, can you answer the following questions to help us in vetting this plugin?

Does this plugin collect any personal information about its users?
If so, what information does it collect?
If you do collect any personal information, who has access to it?
Are there any third parties that will have access to personal information, if you collect it?
If you do collect personal information, who owns the information? Does the user own it or does your company own it?
If you do collect personal information, where is it stored? Where is information accessed from?
When and if you store personal information, is the data encrypted when it is stored?
If personal data is collected and stored, do you have any data redundancy policies to ensure data is kept safe if one of your databases is compromised?
What kind of technologies are used to share information across your company? Do you use wireless technologies, is information shared in a closed loop system, or do you use portable devices such as USBs?

    Thank you.

Thank you for the information. I just wanted to clarify, it seems as though the plugin only collects email addresses for those using the plugin. These email addresses are stored on the store admin panel and database. Where are the servers that host these admin panels and databases?

As the author of the plugin for example, you don’t have access to the email addresses of those using the plugin or any other information?

    A. Yes, you are right.

    2. Where are the servers that host these admin panels and databases?
    A. That depends on the store admin i.e. which host provider and database system they are using.

    2. As the author of the plugin for example, you don’t have access to the email addresses of those using the plugin or any other information?
    A. Nope, we don’t have any access to any information of those using the plugin or any other information.
