If PayPal Plus appears at the top of the payment options in the frontend you need to check if the check box “Abschalten der Standard-Gateway-überschreibung ” in the PayPal Plus plugin settings if its set active. If yes please remove the check mark to deactivate it.

Thank you for the tip. I got it fixed. Just as a feedback, Woocommerce alread has standards for setting the priority of payment gateways and adding a feature like this only adds confusion and wastes the time of you users.

I understood how the Woocommerce system for prioritising pyament gateways works and if I wanted PayPal Plus to be the default I would have set it as such. As a result of this feature that you and your team have added I have spent several hours discussing the issue with Woocommerce direct and now on this support page.

Its just my opinion and perhaps you have other good reason to add the feature, but as I see it, the plugin would be better without it.

glad to hear you could fix the issue. When you install a new payment option is should be the last on the sorted list at the payment option page. Also, the checkbox to make the plugin as default payment option isn’t selected by default.

Some users are using other payment options like Stripe or Sofort and they want PayPal Plus automatic on the top. Also, some user don’t know you can sort by drag and drop the payment options on the payment option page. Before this feature wasn’t available in WooCommerce and so our plugin has this feature still available too.

I’ll discuss it with PayPAl and our developers because it isn’t needed any more.
