Hello, I’m about to connect Printify to my WooCommerce store?but I’d like to keep it separated from the main shop through which we sell comic books. How can I manage to do that and maintain the comic section as it is as the merchandise section a new one, separated, and filled only with Printify products?
Our core business is and have to remain selling comics; the merchandise is a secondary business that must not overshadow the main one.

The Printify support told me this: “you will not be able to choose which page they get published on originally, however, you should be able to assign these tabs/pages directly on WooCommerce. For more information about this process, I would recommend reaching out to them directly and inquiring about this.”

    Thank you

  • Hey there, @cilnius! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

On WooCommerce you can separate products in categories.

This categories each have their own automatic page created and you can also use them to create your own pages to show the categories you want.

For example, you can create a merchandise?category and add the Printiful products to it. And then add the category page to your menu.

To not show them on your shop page, the steps to do this will depend on how you set up this page.

Are you using the default WooCommerce shop page, or a custom one?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hello, thanks for your kind reply.

As per the theme settings (PrintPress), I used categories for comic book authors (each category is an author). The link in the menu leading to the shop leads to the default WooCommerce page.
So I guess I should create an additional “merchandising” category and I could link that category in the main menu. But how could I then exclude its display from the default page?

    Thanks!

    Hey, @cilnius!

So I guess I should create an additional “merchandising” category and I could link that category in the main menu.

    Exactly ??

?But how could I then exclude its display from the default page?

There are two ways to do this:

1 – If you want to keep the default shop page, you can follow this guide to use some custom code to exclude the merchandising category.
Please note we are not able to provide support for custom code.
If you need further help with it, you can visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there too.

2 – You can create a custom page and use the Product Collection block, there you will be able to use the filter option to only show the categories you want.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Wonderful, thank you very much!
I managed to hide the “Merchandising” category as per your first suggestion, with a snippet code.
Just one thing: I reassigned the test product I created in Printify from “uncategorised” to “Merchandising” category, but now if I go to the page of the category, the products are invisible even there, not only in the main shop.
Is it something for which you can provide help?
    Thanks!

Can you share direct link to the category page where the products aren’t showing up? I tried to navigate on https://www.nubes.live/ but wasn’t able to get to that page/category.

In terms of the products that aren’t showing up, have you checked that they have prices assigned to them?
