    Hi Bart,
I installed the free version in my site (speldorado.com). I installed DYMO.Connect too.
DYMO.Connect as a Windows appication works file (weird UI…).
Mij PC knows 2 LW450 printers. One directly on a USB port and one on a Cups printer server. I have only one LW450 so one of the two is active. When I have the LW450 on USB, all seems fine. When I hook the LW450 to the Cups server (Raspberry running Linux), it is shown in the printer list and the error log says not connected:

Error: \\https://192.168.10.43:631\DYMO_LabelWriter_450 installed, but not connected. Try to reconnect this printer.
Dit kan een caching probleem zijn. Leeg je browser historie en gebruik CTRL+F5 (Windows) of CMD+Shift+R (Mac) om deze pagina een harde refresh te geven.
Success: Found connected printer DYMO LabelWriter 450

Is jour plugin searching for a specific printer status? Maybe my Cups server does not respond to a request for status? Maybe the DYMO Connect software cannot print to remote printer servers at all. Their docs are non-existing os out of date…

    TIA, Egbert Jan, NL

PS It might be worth mentioning that theeConnect software mustbe installed with admin privs.

Correction: the Cups printer is NOT shown in the printer list.

    Hello @kshbu0

Unfortunately DYMO has no support for webprinting on other OS. Only Windows and Mac are supported. As soon as DYMO adds support for other systems we are going to add this also to our plugin.

    Best regards,
    Bart

    Dank.
Pity that is stopped working with the connect framework. It was fine with the label framework (8.7.1 ?) until recently. Probably because W10 or Chrome updates it stopped working on both USB and IP printers.

I’ve installed Connect and replaced the js library in my WP plugin and USB works again.
Several years ago I’ve written some code to print shelf label on the LW450.
Since Speldorado.com also runs a Sinterklaas service there was a need to print labels with details of the child on the gift. I use info from Form7 and Flamingo plugins for that. Maatwerk dus.

Pity that we need local (USB) attached LW450’s now in stead of one centralized printer.

    Hi,
DYMO.Connect is cacable of printing on remote printer server after all. The printer server in my Synology 218+ seems to satisfy DYMO.Connect better than a Cups based printer server. There is a small penalty; there is delay of several seconds before the LW450 starts to print.

With the connect js library, my plugin to print “schap labels” prints on the Synology printer again. My plugin is 99.9% based upon sample code from the labelwriter JDK. Connect seems to be compatible with the previous labelwriter framee work code.
    Remember: YMMV
    Greetings, Egbert Jan, NL
