    Hey Lawrence and CloudPRNT-Team,

I’m able to connect to the printer and to print some tests after a fresh connect to the printer.
But after a while (some minutes) the printer status says “Connectivity: Not Connected”. All will be visible in the printing queue, but never be printed.

    Poll Interval: 5
    Connectivity: Not Connected
    ASB Status Code: 23 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
    HTTP Status Code: 200 OK
    Last Communication: Wed 15 Dec 21 – 09:57:39`

    – Polling 5sek
    – Webserver Caching disabeled
    – FW up to date
    Main F/W: V1.9.3
    Boot F/W: V1.1.1
    Application F/W: V1.9.3
    – Plugin newest version
    – no security plugin installed
    – TSP650II with IFBD-HI01X/02X

Do you have any idea how to solve that problem?

    BR!

Update: I changed the FritzBox settings for the Printer to “Allow the device to set ports by itself” (free german translation, similar meaning).

For the last 10min. Connection is still alive. ??

    I’ll response / keep you updated…

    Some problems again. ??
It seems to be related to these settings: What are the right settings?

    System Configuration
    Network
Web Refresh Interval Time (Sec.) 5
    #9100/9101 port ENABLE
    #9100 Multi Session ENABLE
    #9100 Data Timeout (Sec.) 0
    LPR DISABLE
    TCP Keep-Alive DISABLE

I disabled #9100/9101 port and WordPress stays connected! ??

    BUT

In our test case the printer is also connected to iZettle app. Now iZettle doesnt find the printer any more. ….
(For further dev and custom projects i will use a dedicated printer for wordpress)

Is enabling port 9101 a “no go” for the wordpress plugin? Is this a specific “thing” only with the IFBD-HI01X/02X? (and no isse with eg the mC-Print3)

@therealcookie the settings you found seem to be from the printers web interface and those have no bearing on the printers interaction with our plugin. I’m not sure what Fritzbox is, but it sounds like it may be blocking the printer/plugin somehow. A quick google search tells me its a VPN? Maybe you can shed some light on this.

On the flip side, disabling port 9100 will definitely interfere with iZettle, because iZettle can print to our printers over the LAN but requires port 9100.

    Hey Guillermo,

the Fritzbox is a Inter-Router with Firewall posibilites.
Should I try to do some port forwarding?

Regarding the settings in the printers web interface: It definitly interfears with the connection to the WP Server. If direct oder indirect – somehow it does.

If I switch OFF the 9101 port the printer stays connected to the WP Server.
Sure, it may related to the FW setting in the fritzbox.

Hope’ to find a solution to use WP plugin and iZettle simuntaniouly.

    BR!

In the meantime I changed and tried (almost) EVERY combination in the websettings of the printer…

The one and only thing to get WP connection is to disable(!) port 9101.

In the firewall side I completely exposed the printer to the internet(!)
Tried also port forwarding 9101 and 9100.

@therealcookie something to consider is that both connections can’t be active at the same time. This is slightly off topic discussion, but if iZettle is using our StarIoExtenstion manager class of our other SDKs, then their connection will be always active. This would block the CloudPRNT plugin from printing. An easy test to run is to print from iZettle, then check the CloudPRNT status. It should be not connected. Then shut down the iZettle app and the connection to plugin should be restored. If my assumption is correct, then you need to have a dedicated printer for each to solve your issue.

This explains my experience… ok. Sad, but more important is to know whats goning on. Thx!

@therealcookie very sorry about that but app developers do this with the best intentions, to you give you the best printing experience with their app. The unintended consequence is that you can’t share the printer across different printing ports/apps at the same time.
