    Hi

    do not paste [print_thumbnail_slider] direclty.
go to editor html section and then add short code.

    Thanks

I don’t understand what that means.

Go to Appearance > Editor > then add [print_thumbnail_slider] to a page template within my wordpress theme?

That’s no good. I only want to add my slider to one particular page. I don’t want to add it to EVERY page.

Is this plugin really that inflexible?

I have to write a shortcode for the page? Sorry I’m a non-professional user of wordpress as a blogging platform.

    Hi
What I mean is.Just go to page/post from wp-admin and in edit post mode do not post [print_thumbnail_slider] directly instead of at right top you will see “HTML” button just press it and then add [print_thumbnail_slider] any where you want to print slider.

    Thanks

What the hell? Of course I already did that – I added[print_thumbnail_slider] to the html of the page in the wordpress user interface and that doesn’t work at all.

Now I have an even bigger problem. Because this has been confusing and misleading I was attempting to add the shortcode to my theme and it has BROKEN MY WORDPRESS INTERFACE. EVERY PAGE IS NOW DISPLAYING AS BLANK.

thank you very much for ruining my website. This will probably take days to fix, I AM LIVID. ABSOLUTELY LIVID.

Its a two minute fix – connect by ftp and replace the file you edited with a copy of the same file from a recent backup. If you don’t have a backup and have not otherwise modified the template, download a fresh copy of the same version of the theme & upload that copy of the file.

Alternatively edit the the file to take out the code you added.

You can use shortcodes in theme templates, but you can’t just paste in the shortcode on its own, it needs to be in the format:

    <?php echo do_shortcode("[print_thumbnail_slider]"); ?>

Don’t forget to take out the <?php & ?> if adding into an existing block of php

    This is just simple plugin.

you need wordpress knowledge how to use it..

Whatever I have wasted enough time on this. Thank you to Cubecolour I replaced the effected php file and it fixed the site.

I’m trying to tell you your plugin is perhaps not compatible with my theme. No matter where I input [print_thumbnail_slider] either in the php of page or just the html content the slider doesn’t appear.

I deleted the plugin and will be steering well clear from now on.
