Hi, I’m using a plugin called “PI WooCommerce order date time and type” by PI WebSolution which allows the customer to select a pickup or delivery time. Unfortunately this does not get printed on the print out. How can I get these details included on the printout. The pickup/delivery time is printed on the order email but I need it to also print from the Star Printer.

@angela2601 please install the pre-release version 2.0 from this thread, then enable the “Print additional order meta-data, such as custom fields.” option in the “Additional Order Fields” section of the Star plugin settings. In most cases this will cause your data to print.

Please be aware that this is a third party plugin, and they all work in different ways, so I can’t guarantee it will work, but usually this is enough. We haven’t tested the plugin you are using, but I have tested Delivery & Pickup Date Time for WooCommerce which works fine.

@lawrenceowen hope your well. I’m also using the same plugin Delivery & Pickup Date Time for WooCommerce that you have tested.

But I’ve noticed on print outs the Pickup or Delivery Date format is YYYY-MM-DD, but I require DD-MM-YYYY.

I can’t find a configuration in the Woo Delivery Plugin – and their support team have said it needs to be changed within the printing plugin.

Could you help with this, please? Also, do you have plans to make this a configuration item in the future?

@amit79 Currently, we can only print the data as it is provided by the Woo Delivery plugin. I do have plans to change this buy adding an option to register a filter, so that you can re-format this data exactly as you choose. Unfortunately that will require some development, allowing you to create your own theming plugin for the receipt.

I don’t know if this can be made into a general, zero-code, option in the future, since third party plugins are out of our control, there is always a possibility of unintended side-effects. But it’s a common enough request that I will look for a good/safe solution.

If you can let me know the exact name of the field that you need to reformat (you can get this by looking ad additional fields on the order, or print an order with the “Re-format key names” option switched off) then I can show you how to modify the code of the plugin on your server to re-format the date.

@lawrenceowen thanks for the quick response.

The field names are “pickup_date” for when a pickup is chosen & “delivery_date” for when a delivery is chosen.

    Thanks
