Print or export Input & Results in Excel

As you say, the “Print Form” button tells the browser to print the form, like when you print any other web page. And the browser allows you to select one of the available printers.

If you want to generate (generate is not print) a file compatible with Excel, you can export the submissions as a CSV file from the messages section:

Or you can use the “CSV Generator” add-on to export the submissions to the CSV file dynamically:
