    Hello,

I have installed Print-o-matic. It works fine on post page types, but when I use it on a page, I don’t get a link or icon – the short code shows only as text when the page is published, e.g. like this: [print-me] or like this: [print-me target=”#content”/]

Unfortunately we don’t have a public site yet so I’m not able to do that.
I can send screenshots if necessary.

Screenshots will not help troubleshoot what is wrong with your site.
Here is all we can offer you:

    1. Check the shortcode, make sure it was not copy/pasted in visual mode, causing the quotes to be converted to curly quotes.
    2. Check the source on the page. make sure that the print-o-matic .js and .css files are being loaded. if not, check that they are not being minified and combined via some cashing plugin
    3. In the plugin settings make sure that ‘shortcode loads scripts’ is NOT checked. Try loading the plugin scripts in the header, rather than the footer (default)

If none of those things help, then try temporality changing to a standard twenty-something theme. If it starts working there is an issue with your theme.

If it’s not a theme issue, try disabling all plugins except for print-o-matic and check if it starts working. If so, then re-enable each plugin one by one until you find the plugin that is conflicting.

Other than that, ping us back when we are able to see the issue. Good luck!

Yes, this was clearly stated in your previous comment:

Unfortunately we don’t have a public site yet so I’m not able to do that.

As we stated above, there must be a conflict or issue with how the shortcode has been inserted into the page. If it works on a post, it should work on a page, unless something else is causing a problem.

If you require more technical assistance, we do offer a very high level of personal support with our pro version print-pro-matic.

Issue marked as resolved for now.
