• Hi guys! I’m using WordPress 3.7.3, but that’s not in the version option above. Anyway, Print Me has worked wonderfully for almost a year. Worked until about a week ago.

In the latest version of Chrome, when you click the print icon, it prints every post on my front page (38 pages). In Internet Explorer 11, it only prints the latest post – no matter which post I choose.

I took the print off of my latest post just to test some things, but all my others have it. My site is https://www.MyRecipeReviews.com. I use the [print-me] phrase after each blog post, with no other parameters.

The reason I noticed it not working was because suddenly, as of my last post, Feedburner wasn’t sending my subscribers update. When I troubleshot that, it highlighted the [print-me] script. Here’s a sample of what it reported:

“This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

line 82, column 0: content:encoded should not contain script tag (9 occurrences)”

and here’s the line 82 it was referencing:
    <div class=’printomatic pom-default’ id=’id912′ ><input type=’hidden’ id=’target-id912′ value=’article’ /><script>var pom_site_css = ”;

which was simply the [print-me] that I always insert.

Any help would be so very verrrryyyy appreciated! I’m using the latest 1.5.5 version of Print Me.

Update: I took the [print-me] short code out of my front page posts (10 of them) and my Feedburner subscription sent out normally. For some reason it suddenly doesn’t like that code.

Have a good weekend. If you can come up with a solution, I’d love to put the code back in!

    Thanks! Susan

first of all: The default target is article. If you have multiple posts on a page, you will either need to use the ID placeholder or manually provide unique targets for each print icon.

To your second issue with feedburner, we’ll look into an alternative method that does not include inline scripts. Look for an update in the next hours.

Please upgrade to Print-O-Matic version 1.5.6b available directly from the Plugin Oven.

This version replaced the inline script tags with a smarter javascript object that is placed in the footer. This should fix the issue you are having with Feedburner.

Please let us know of your results.

Thanks Baden, the ID placeholder worked great.

Is there a way to not print the photos, just the text? As I delude myself into thinking I’m a great photographer, the photos are getting bigger and bigger and causing one post to be 4-5 pages….

I noticed the print-only attribute in the Pro version – would that help me print text, but no photos?

Anyway, I will be posting a new entry tonight and will let you know if the 1.5.6b upgrade fixed the Feedburner issue.

Look forward to hearing of your results.

Yes, Print-Pro-Matic allows you to remove certain elements, or classes from the print page. Your only other option would be to wrap the text in a separate element from the photos, and only print that element.

Success! Once again you solved my issue – thanks so much for the quick resolution, Baden. Guess it’s time to write another glowing review for Print-o-matic!
