    I installed the plugin and placed the widget in the sidebar. I then went into posts to select the featured posts. The selection process went fine and I left the default “print” option selected and saved. All the featured posts disapppeared and also did not show on the index page.

    I then went back in, reselected and unchecked the print option, and saved. The featured posts showed up in the plugin setting, and on the index page, but without the pictures.

    Final: Plugin fails if print option is selected.

    I can confirm the bug exists, but it has nothing to do with the option being checked. It looks like the first time that one defines a list of featured posts and saves it, nothing is saved (regardless of the state of the featured image checkbox). After that, every time you save the settings everything seems to work fine.

    Could you please enable featured images and check if they work?

    That said, I’ll try to determine why the first time we save the settings fail and release a fix.

    Rowan, I just uploaded a new version of the plugin (1.1.1) that fixes the issue you reported. As I said, you don’t need to update the plugin to benefit from the fix, for the issue only affected saving the settings for the first time. However, I do recommend you update the plugin to its latest version.

    Please, confirm that the bug has been fixed with this new release (if so, I’d appreciate if you could mark this topic as resolved). Thanks again for reporting the issue and my most sincere apologies for providing a solution so late.

    In response to response 1, I just tried simply enabling the “print” feature, and the featured picture does show up, but it does not line up within the widget. In other words it looks something like this:

    Post One
    Post two
    Post three
    Post Four

    It looks like it is on word wrap, or like there is not a line break at the end of each post link.

    That did not come out right. Let’s try again (leading periods not there)
    Post One
    ……………….Post two
    ………………………………Post three
    Post Four

    I applied the update to 1.1. Unfortunately with the same results as above.
    Post One
    ……………….Post two
    ………………………………Post three
    Post Four

    As I stated above, it looks like it needs a line break of some sort after each entry.

    I sincerely appreciate your working on this. Otherwise, it is almost the perfect plugin for what I want to do.

    Can you please share a link to your WordPress installation? I think that the problem you’re facing now might be CSS-related, but if I don’t see it, I cannot know it for sure. Thanks!

    My site is Cyrano’s Journal. I am currently running the plugin without graphics.

    If you want me to re-enable the graphics component so you can see that I will.

    Hi, yes, enabling it would be helpful. However, I won’t be able to look at it until tomorrow (it’s almost midnight here in Barcelona). If you want, please send me an e-mail (customers AT neliosoftware DOT com) tomorrow, as soon as you’re available, and we can sync the tasks; you enable the featured images and I look at them.

    In the meantime, you may want to try the following CSS code:

    .widget_neliofp_widget article .featured-image.alignleft {
      margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px;
    }

    which may solve your issue.

    YAY!!!!!

    That did it. Lines up perfectly and displays just as expected.

    I’m glad to hear! I’ll mark this topic as resolved. Please note I just uploaded a new version of the plugin that includes the aforementioned CSS rule in the plugin’s CSS file, so that all users can benefit from it
