• This is definitely one of (if not THE) best print plugins available. I am using it for a “magazine” site and it captures the style and presentation beautifully…and it’s really easy to use! I have one question that I was hoping you could help me with.

    Scenario
    Print-o-matic Pro Plugin
I have the Target Attribute set to “article”, I have added a Logo image to the “Print Page Top HTML” and a copyright to “Print Page Bottom HTML” all working perfectly.

    Question
I would like to include the featured image in the “Print Page Top HTML”. The Featured image is NOT in the “article” tag. How can I accomplish adding it (without hacking the theme?)

To be sure, it can be done. What would be of great help is if you could include a link to the page so we could get a better (lazy) idea of what your options are.

Can I PM it to you? it is a private site…

Sure just send an email referencing this here thread to info [at] twinpictures [dot] de and we’ll work it out that way.

So you want to print out not just one target but two. This can be done, in your case, by assigning the target attribute the following value: .container, article

    For example:

    [print-me target=".container, article"]

Give that a try and let us know how it works out for you.

I tried it but didn’t get there result I was hoping for. Adding the .container class as a target prints everything on the page except the featured image.

Oops, sorry, the image is held in a div with a class of post-thumbnail, so try:

    [print-me target=".post-thumbnail, article"]

Keep in mind that the image is actually the div’s background, so the client needs to turn on background images in the print dialogue. Not ideal.

Another option you could have is to upgrade to print-pro-matic and use the print_only attribute which would allow you to place the image on the page where you want it, but it would be hidden and only displayed when printed.

We can help you set that up but you’ll need the shell out the big high-five bucks to go pro. See what we did there? Shameless plug for your hard earned cash. What scoundrels we are!

LOL…the background image is not ideal, I agree. I was hoping to tap into WordPress automagic Featured Image goodness to bypass that issue. Thanks for the help and I will be sending the $5.00 your way. It’s the least I could do :).
