The primary links that appear in the black bar at the top of this template are not live. When I click on one, it drops down the menu, and nothing else.

For example, on my page I have Events, and then under it (sub nav) I have Event Photos, and Event Calendar. Clicking on events drops down the sub nav menu, even though I have an events page (/events.php) that visitors should be able to click on.

Please tell me how to fix this or I will have to choose another template, sadly, this one is so elegant!

Try disabling plugins and check whether the problem persists.

This has nothing to do with plugins, look at the preview of this template, when you click “Parent Page”, the Sub Page drops down (and you can click on the Sub Page), but how to you get to the Parent Page?

This is what is confusing me…

Hi there, the primary nav is using the navbar which is part of Twitter bootstrap. It’s been written in this way so that the top link only acts an anchor not a link. I can only imagine this is due to the rise in touch screen devices, twitter bootstrap have announced they have no plans to change this. There is another Nav inside Pagelines called nav classic which will allow you to have both a link and a drop down anchor in the navbar.

Where do I find this Nav classic inside Pagelines?
In the settings of Pagelines I only see the mainmenu that I created myself, and the color schemes of the navigation bar

    See screenshot settings Pagelineshttps://proef.carerix.com/Navigation-Bar.png

    and the website:

How do I get this to work?

    kind regards,

Don’t think this is something that can be fixed.

    See what I found:
    https://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/27222-menu-item-not-clickable-but-sub-menu-item-is-ok/

    This is a real pain.

The Classic nav is less customizable and doesn’t seem to work with child pages at all.

Meanwhile use the main Pagelines navbar, in order to add child pages, we are now supposed to move the main (parent) pages under themselves?! This will break lots of links and as far as I’m concerned is a weird inconsistent behaviour.

Why is everyone obsessed with touch users to the detriment of the many more users on desktops, laptops, etc! Most non-touch users expect to be able to click the top item in a nav bar, especially when the child pages are visible on hover.
