Primary menu page jumps not working
-
Hi All,
I have a problem with the Bento primary menu not performing page jumps, except when on the homepage. Nothing (visible) happens when clicking on primary menu items in another page than the homepage.
Context:
Essentially, my site has a long homepage built using the Page Builder from SiteOrigin and an additional information page created using the WordPress Block Editor.
The homepage is composed of multiple SiteOrigin rows, some of which have anchors defined (e.g. SiteOrigin Row Styles / Attributes / Row ID = about_us)
Then I created a standard WordPress menu (admin > Appearence > Menus) where the items define custom links pointing to the anchors on the homepage (e.g. https://mydomain/#about_us).
When displaying the homepage, the primary menu items jump to the appropriate sections within the page (as expected).
Now the problem:On the additional information page, the primary menu does NOT jump anywhere when clicking with the right mouse button.
But interestingly,
- the footer menu works fine (page jumps OK – same URLs https://mydomain/#about_us), and
- the primary menu works also when clicking with the *middle* mouse button (opens the homepage in another tab and jumps to the appropriate section)
I followed the instructions in the Bento manual (https://satoristudio.net/bento-manual/#menus)
Thanks a lot for your help,
Pete
