Primary Menu only showing home links Search not working

For some reason the primary menu links are all just going back to the home page despite having the correct link, and attributes. I’ve changed themes, moved it to secondary menu placement but all to no avail. In addition the search box on the primary menu also just displays a home page link.

When on any page if you view the source file from your browser you can see the correct links & attributes ion the coding….

I’ve googled around for some suggestion but nothing I’ve come across seems to work.
