    Hi.

My primary menu is not showing custom labels I created for menu items, not showing custom link menu items, and not showing sub items.

The mobile and other menus display correctly. Only the primary one is not.

I deactivated all plugins and switched to the 2020 theme. Neither of these attempts to identify the problem worked.

Please tell me how to fix this.

    Thanks.

  • Hi! It’s the same menu and it looks the same for me, it just took a bit of a time to show submenu and sub-sub menu. Possibly, you have already fixed this. You may want to add a bit of a CSS styling to indicate that some menu items have children.

Btw, you have an error in a console with Google Analitycs token, you may want to fix it as well:

And just in case, here are mentioned some common issues with scripts in 5.5 version and what can be done:

    Hi, @oglekler.

Thanks for the info about Google Analytics. I’ll fix it.

I think I wasn’t clear. The menu on my desktop site is not displaying sub menus, custom titles for page names, or custom links. The mobile menu is displaying correctly and is not the same menu as my desktop menu because my theme Dynamic (chikd) for Genesis (parent), enables me to create a custom mobile menu that is different from the desktop one.

However, even when I switch to Twenty Twenty, which uses the same menu for desktop and mobile, the three problems I’ve listed persist.

I want to know how to fix them.

    P.S.

To be clear: There are missing mma8n and sub enu items. Some are pages. Some are custom links. Almost all sub menus items are missing. There are three displayed under “Departments,” but there are others that are not displayed there.

I see exactly the same menu. 7 items and 3 in sub-menu and 1 in a sub-sub menu.
Did you check another browser to see if you have an issue in a particular one?
Try to switch of theme no another one to see if it’s a theme related problem.

    Hi @olga.

I have switched themes, as I stated earlier. The problem persists on desktop, no matter the theme. “Departments” is supposed to have 7 sub items, not 3. “Government has 9 sub items. None are displaying. There are others like this — menu and sub menu items not displaying.

When I use the Twenty-Twenty them, what you see in mobile view is the mobile site created by Jetpack, which is the same incorrect menu that is showing in deskstop. When I have my regular theme installed, the mobile theme is different than the deskstop theme, because I am able to customize it. If you’re seeing the mobile them as being the same as the desktop theme, you are not seeing the desktop them I see from the dashboard.

This is the problem I need to fix: Sub and sub sub menu items are missing from the menu.

    Problem solved!

Somehow, the primary menu got switched with the mobile menu.

Thanks again for trying to help @olga
