Hi I am trying to work out how to get my child menus to point directly to the posts rather than the category pages then the posts.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also what do the forum moderators think of the idea of having a paid service to get answers for these forums because so many people remain frustrated and unenlightened, I am sure a lot of people would b happy to pay a small fee to get their questions answered, so they can move on.

I am trying to work out how to get my child menus to point directly to the posts rather than the category pages then the posts.

Currently there’s no dynamic way to do this that I’m aware of. So you’d need to create a custom menu and then use the Custom Url option to effectively hardcode links to each of your posts.

As for your second question about pain answers, I believe you’ve also asked about this in another topic. But I can tell you now that the idea isn’t appropriate for these forums.

Wow thanks for answering my question. Are you able to tell me why?

    Why what?

I have found the answer to my question regarding why the idea is not appropriate and now know that if I google wordpress experts there are companies set up to answer questions for a small fee. Thanks.

    Hello,
I am new to wordpress and I’m sorry if I am butting in to an existing thread, but this is the first time I’ve been able to actually ask a question. I’ve searched and read many forums and FAQ’s and codex lessons but still don’t know how to post to separate pages. I have a static hello world! page and three pages added, which are also categories. All I want to do is set it up so that I can write a post and it will end up on a distinct page. I need simple step by step instructions.
I would also like to know how to start a thread aimed at answering a question without jumping in here at the end of someone else’s thread.
Is there a window where you start a new thread for a new question? If so, where is it?
    Thanks
    James
