Prices won’t update

    Hello,

    I am contacting you because I ran into some weird issue.
    We offer product on our website and this particular product we had to change the prices.

    Go from $44 to $95.

    So I go into the product page, change the price update and everything is fine.

    However, few minutes later, I go on the front end, and it shows the old price, I go into the product page and somehow the old price is here as well.
    So I thought I didn’t save or anything, I change the price again, update, check on the front end, everything is correctly updated, even on incognito pages, and after cache cleared.

    But then again, few minutes later, I check and its back to the old price on the front end and back end.
    So I am getting crazy, it only does that with this particular product…

    Do you know hy this happen and how I could fix it?

  • Hi, unrelated but lately I removed a discounted price, then updated, and a few hours later it was back there again with the discounted price. I thought it was due to Caching or something but it’s not.

    Update : it does that with every product, it never keep the updated prices…

    @mmmediterranean try and do it again, repet the process 1 to 3 times, let me know if it works.

    No, I couldn’t make it work, the only way I found was to delete the product variation and create it again, which is very annoying since I have to set everything up again…

    I understand that the price of your product is not being updated even after several modifications.

    Can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

    If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    Thank you for providing the report.

    Can you please reach out to your host and ask them to turn off the caching plugin? Once they do wait a few minutes and re-try changing the price from a private new window.

    I ran the caching plug in on wordpress many times, re check the status file and it didnt work, do you think it will be different if it is the host company that run the plugin ?

    Hi @mmmediterranean,

    Yes, hosting providers also have a separate cache system on their servers that you request them to clear.

    Also, I can see you’re using the Divi theme and the Hummingbird Pro cache plugin on the website. This theme also has its own cache system in the Theme options.

    This problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or another plugin.
    It sounds like a staging site would be a good idea. If your host doesn’t offer that option, we recommend WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.`

    Well I know all these stpes, I did it though.
    However I didnt ask the host to clear the cache, I will try that.

    It’s weird that it was always working fine with the other plugins without conflict and suddenly it stopped working fine.

    I will let you know.
