price set to 0 for some components in order

When a product with components is ordered, the price for some of the components is set to 0 on the order in the backend. Other components show their regular price. Customer pays the right total price. I can’t seem to find the difference between one component or the other. They have the same settings. Has anyone else seen this perhaps?
