Price Filter Not Working Right

I was just wondering if there were any known issues with the price filter not working correctly. I have a filter group set up with the price slider and when a category checkbox is selected, it adds the price filter to the URL along with the product category filter. However, when the product category filter is unchecked again, the product category is removed from the URL, but the price filter stays, which changes which products show.

For example, when a product category is checked, this is added to end of the URL:
/?filters=product_cat%5B898%5D%7Cprice%5B2995_17950%5D

and then when it is unchecked again, the price part stays:
/?filters=price%5B2995_17950%5D
