Wanting to change the prices of all pizzas in the Gourmet category-
without having to go into EVERY SINGLE ITEM.
    Can’t seem to do it.
Changing to the ID and Label in the ID Field- doesn’t affect the front end prices.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi

    a couple of things:
(I assume we are talking about wppizza-> meal sizes here)

The label does – of course – not change the prices – it just changes the label under them.
The prices field(s) are only used when adding a new product (i.e it’s a default price).
Once a product has been added the price stays as it was entered for this specific product (for obvious reasons I would think)

In essence, prices are per product and not per category so if you need to change them, you need to do this on a per item basis – which you can do in quickedit , so you do not have to go into every single product screen .

Sure, one could – theoretically – do something that lets you edit prices for a whole category, but to be honest, that’s not something that I feel is particularly useful for most users and therefore not really on my list of things to do I’m afraid.

That said, if you want to get your hands dirty:
All prices – alongside other info – are stored in the [prefix]_postmeta table, so you could write some script I would think that lets you edit those in bulk.
However, I can only see this being worth the effort if you have literally hundreds of items where all the prices are going to have to be exactly the same (which may or may not be the case of course).

    Oliver
