Hi – We have this plugin set up and successfully syncing from Square -> WooCommerce.

The issue is that when the price of a product is reduced in Square, after syncing to WooCommerce, the product “Regular price” is not changed, but instead a “Sale price” is added. All research suggests Square does not support Sale prices, so there should not be a “Sale price” in WooCommerce – it should change the “Regular price” instead. Can you confirm?

    Hey there @davebonds

    Thanks for explaining this.

    > All research suggests Square does not support Sale prices

    Correct, Square has one price.

What it sounds like is happening here is that WooCommerce is seeing a cheaper price coming from Square and seeing it is different, uses it as a Sale price instead.

This indeed sounds like a bug. Can you let me know if this happens every time for you please?

If so, we will take the details and log this as an issue with the development team.

Also, can you let me know in your reply what direction your initial sync was, was it Square to WooCommerce as well?

    Thanks,

    Thanks for following up @dougaitken

Yes the issue occurs with every sync and for all products. And yes the initial sync was from Square -> WooCommerce and it will always be that direction, never the other way.

Your assumption is the same as mine; sale prices should not be added in WooCommerce. I think I see in the code where this is happening but haven’t tried changing it, I’ll leave it up to y’all. ??
