    Hi,

My site had been federating properly until recently. The last post, published on 8/7 did not appear and neither has a header image added at the same time in Blog-Profile. During the time since the previous post was published, I’ve changed hosting companies but the site settings have not changed. WordFence and Litespeed Cache are installed. Is there a way to test whether ActivityPub is being blocked?

    Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

From the first look everything looks fine, but I checked your follower and you seem to only have one. Is that correct or have you maybe lost the followers during the migration process?

Here is a list of your followers https://www.webdancers.com/wp-json/activitypub/1.0/actors/0/followers

That’s correct, there’s only one follower (me). Are you seeing the post from 8/7 and the header image?

Ah, Mastodon showed me your mastodon account and I was confused a bit. Yes, I can see a reddish header image with yellow/orange dots. I can’t see your post, because I haven’t followed you yet, but I checked one of your posts and it seems that you have issues with some caching?!?

    curl "https://www.webdancers.com/can-ai-build-an-effective-website/" \
    -H 'Accept: application/activity+json'

This curl command should return JSON, but it returns HTML instead. So either you have some other caching that came with the new hosting or you should check your settings if Posts are enabled for federation.

Looks like the problem was object caching in Litespeed. When I turn that off, the curl command returns JSON. Will the 8/7 post now turn up in the feed (I don’t see it at the moment)?

It will not automatically show up, unless you change something. This way the plugin sends an update.

Or you can cheat: Simply put the complete URL of the post in the search field of Mastodon and Mastodon will index your post. I’ve done that for your 8/7 post and it shows up nicely on mastodon.social now ??

And maybe this helps: https://www.timnolte.com/2023/04/09/fixing-openlitespeed-caching-for-activitypub-on-wordpress/ ?!?
